Due to the World Cancer Day held on Wednesday, February the 4th, our Pardiñas Clinic will seek a free screening to control any anomalies associated with oral cancer.
All those people who come to the center will receive a complete and totally painless dental analysis to check if there is any problem that may affect oral health.
This j initiative directed by our doctors from Pardiñas Foundation has been created in order to educate patients to performed annually mouth, throat and tongue scans since, according to the Spanish Society of Medical Oncology, more than 4,000 Spaniards are diagnosed each year with oral cancers, a disease that, unfortunately, causes more than 1,000 annually deaths, which means, 3 daily deaths.
However, these devastating numbers can be changed for the better since the main problem of oral cancer is that is always diagnosed mostly in very advanced stages, since the beginning of the disease has no detectable symptoms at first sight.
Furthermore, not smoking or excessive drinking does not exempt a person to appear oral cancer. Unfortunately, nowadays people with ages below 40 years presented oral cancer due to the development of the virus known as Human Papillomavirus which is contracted through intimate contact. Therefore, all doctors and dentists recommend performing oral checkups once a year to prevent the development of cancer diseases.
Finally, note that our dental clinic will be the first center in Galicia commissioned in offering patients a free, comprehensive and accurate oral examination on oral health.
