Last Friday, September 26 , The Research Centre of Human Evolution (CENIEH) of Burgos received a distinguished guest: El Ratoncito Pérez (Tooth Fairy). The reason, a campaign to collect teeth of children and adults aged 5 to 99 years.
Over 500 teeth were delivered at the event, teeth that will be used by the CENIEH to prepare a database of reference on the Homo Sapiens. The teeth have been classified by tooth type, sex and age.
This initiative is part of “European Researchers’ Night”, a scientific event open to the public with the aim of bringing science to society.
