What’s a root canal?
This refers to treating the nerves (dental pulp) inside your teeth.
When is a root canal needed? This treatment is necessary when the nerve of the tooth is irreversibly affected by caries, trauma or wear, etc.
Endodontic treatment is also indicated for teeth that will be fitted with bridges or crowns, where the grinding down (the process of preparing the tooth to receive the bridge or the crown) is very exhaustive.
